Pakistan’s Cabinet Division has released the latest quarterly record of official gifts received by top political leaders and senior government officials, covering the period from January to March 2026. The disclosure is part of the ongoing public reporting mechanism on state protocol gifts deposited in the Toshakhana.

According to the published record, President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, the Chairman Senate, and the Chairman of the National Accountability Bureau were among those who received gifts during the reporting period. Several federal ministers and senior officials were also listed.

The report confirms that all declared gifts were deposited into the Toshakhana in accordance with official rules. However, the document does not include the names of individuals or entities that presented the gifts, leaving the source of the items undisclosed.

Among the federal ministers named in the record are IT Minister Shaza Fatima, Economic Affairs Minister Ahad Cheema, and Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, reflecting that members of the federal cabinet also received protocol gifts during official engagements.

The release of the record comes amid continued public interest in transparency surrounding Toshakhana practices, which govern the receipt, valuation, and retention of gifts given to public office holders by foreign dignitaries and state representatives. The quarterly disclosure is intended to provide accountability and ensure compliance with established procedures.

Authorities have maintained that all listed officials followed legal requirements by depositing the gifts into state custody. The Cabinet Division did not provide additional details regarding the valuation or nature of the items in this particular release.

The publication of such records has become a recurring administrative practice aimed at reinforcing transparency in governance. However, the absence of donor details continues to raise questions among observers regarding the full traceability of diplomatic gifts received by high-ranking officials.
